Library catalog records - RDA

Our library has recently started creating catalog records using RDA (Resource Description and Analysis). Traditionally the MARC 260 field has been used to store publication information (Place: Publisher, date) but RDA now uses the 264 field to store this information. RDA is soon going to become the dafault standard for library catalogs.

Zotero downloads standard MARC record publisher information with aplomb, however I have noticed it will not download publisher information from an RDA record.

Is Zotero.org intending to look at modifying its site translators for library bibliographic records so that it can import MARC 264 as well as the 260 field information?

    do you have an example of a catalog that has this implemented already? Shouldn't be hard to add to Zotero's MARC import.

    I've just added 264 support as a fallback for 260 to our MARC translator, should import fine now, any problems please let us know.

    I open this up again since I have problems with the 264 field.

    we're not importing MARC from Libris. It's RIS via the unAPI translator.
