Error #1927819885 - Unable to export

Hi!

I have switched from Zotero v1.07 to Sync Preview (downloaded on 2008-10-21 from the main page). It imported my references without problems.

I then attached a lot of PDFs (REPEC, ScienceDirect), but Zotero can't export any library or collection anymore. Neither can it export a bibliography (that produces a very long error message in my Firefox console).

I think that is why syncing isn't working either.

  • Oh, this thread should be moved to the "Sync" thread. Sorry.

Some more information: I can't export even a collection that does not have a PDF at all. Weird. It happens on both Linux (GNU/Debian unstable) and Windows 2000 with Firefox 3.0.1.

Anyway, here's a log from my Firefox error console. I don't understand why a file is "read only". Now that I look in my Mozilla profile on Linux, all files have indeed a 0400 chmod. Weird; perhaps because I copied the Zoter profile directory from a Windows NTFS partition.

However, a chmod -R u+w didn't resolve anything. I have noticed that xpcom/db.js is part of the zotero.jar file. Perhaps something has gone wrong when packaging 1.0.7?

  • And there is more: it only happens when exporting Zotero RDF files. Even if I uncheck Notes and Files, it still fails to export a simple collection (without files or notes, just a few website snapshots from the Financial Times).

When trying to export this particular collection, I get no output in my Firefox error console.

    Best regards

    /Danai
  • I found it: I just removed the only tag from that "simple" collection (literally "Krantenartikels uit FT") and I could export it to Zotero RDF.

I'll check if I can get the same result with the more complex collection.

    Best regards

    /Danai
  • Indeed it works: removing *all* tags did the job.
However, I still get the message "Invalid response" when I try to sync.

Well, at least exporting Zotero RDF directories works now.

    Cheers

    /Danai
  • From the Sync Preview known issues page: "Creating bibliography from collection fails (fixed on trunk)".
However, I still get the message "Invalid response" when I try to sync.
This has probably been resolved too, but if you post the last 15 lines of debug output before the "Invalid Response" message we can verify that.
  • Hi!

    It just continually outputs:

Error: [Exception... "'Another sync operation is already in progress' when calling method: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "<unknown>" data: no]

Actions menu -> Reset Server Lock

(This will be handled a bit more elegantly in a future release.)
  • Ok, thanks! It works under "LANG=en_US.UTF8". Apparently syncing is language-dependent as well.

    Cheers
