Importing Zotero Library with Dates Intact

I recently imported my Zotero library from a backup, and noticed that the "Date Added" field was not maintained during the process, with the date set to the moment I performed the import for each record. I've really come to rely on using the date a record was added to organize my references, is there any way to retain the original date added during the export/import process? Thanks!
