Upgrade StoragePDF indexing
I am new to Zotero. I have Windows 7 64-bit, Chrome Version 28.0.1500.95 m; Zotero 4.0.11.
Using Zotero I have managed to save two citations. The first saved without pdf. The second with pdf but the third does not succeed in saving pdf.
I suspected the problem was with pdf indexing so I tried installing xpdf using Zotero settings Search box but didn't succeed so I added xpdfbin-win-3.03 manually to data directory. However it does not solve the problem. I also tried setting the maximum characters to index per file to 0.
My index statistics are:
indexing: 0
partial: 0
unindexed: 5
words: 0
Submitting debug output returns an error: Invalid response from server

aurimasedited August 13, 2013PDF indexing has nothing to do with Zotero's ability to save PDFs, but... ...and... ...suggest that you are experiencing network issues. Do you have any security software installed (antivirus, malware protection)? Are you on a public network or maybe Windows Firewall is blocking Zotero from accessing the internet? Try temporarily disabling all of those and see if it helps.
