Inserting a citation

When i insert a citation the word document only shows as (author) but i need the citation to show as (author, year). where do i change this setting?

and if you're using Modern Language Association - as I suspect you do - that's by design. Pretty much any other author-date style (e.g. Elsevier Harvard and APA) will print they year.

I'm not sure where it shows what style I've selected? How do i change from MLA to Harvard? I'm required to use Harvard. Ive accessed Styles thru Zotero/Cite/Styles and the window gives me a list of styles which are all ticked green but no option to deselect or re-select.

(Am new to Zotero... actually new to academia so this is all quite a challenge!)
