    The error message tells you the problem. You have an item in one of your libraries with a creator with a first name that's too long. Find the item and fix the name, or delete the item and empty the trash.

    @Dan: Should we localize these error messages ?

    They're from the server, so they're not easily localizable. But we should really catch all of these (which will probably require some server changes as well) and display nicer, localized messages. This is done already for too-long tags, which pop up a wizard, but it's not done for other things.

    I've created an issue to localize these (in multiple senses of the word).

    Yes, that's the point : almost no one wants to read a message full of brackets, braces and strange URIs. ;-)

    That's a copy-and-paste from the error reporting wizard, which just shows what's being sent to us. When clicking on the sync error icon it just shows "First name 'Institut canadien de conservation (ICC); Art and A…' too long". By "nicer" I just mean that it should give a bit more info on how to fix it.
