Importing records from Bookends to Zotero

I have been using Bookends 10.6.4 for a while but am switching to Zotero. I am not able to export my existing Bookends library in a format supported by Zotero. Any suggestions for exporting/importing that will make this transition smooth?

    I'm almost 100% sure that Bookends exports both RIS and BibTeX, both of which Zotero can import. If you don't know how, ask their support - it's supposed to be quite good.
    I don't know which works better, porbably best to to test this with small subsets in either format.

    Yes, when I migrated a couple of years ago, I went from Bookends to RIS to Zotero, with a few hours of manually cleaning up stray fields. I seem to recall this post and some of its links being helpful: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/3408/
