Upgrade StorageZotFile renaming problem

I have a problem with Zotfile 2.3.5, which I installed today into my Zotero 4.0.8 installation in Firefox 22.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.8.
I wanted to set a custom renaming scheme, so I went to the "Renaming Rules" tab in the ZotFile prefs. There, I can set the format I like, and when I click "update" for the preview, all works fine, both for "Use Zotero to Rename" switched on and off.
Now, the problem is: independent of how I check this box, when I actively change the name in a Zotero, by right-clicking it and choosing "Rename File from Parent Metadata" it uses the default Zotero scheme, I can't get my own schemes to actually work.

plunckettIt turns out it does work when I actually go to the parent item of the PDF of which I was trying to change the name, right-click and then choose Manage Attachments > Rename Attachments. Not difficult, but kinda confusing!
