Style Request: [pharmacoepidemiology and drug safety]

I mention which existing CSL style is closest to the style i need:
American Medical Association (AMA):
- inline citation : 1 in superscript arabic numbers
- bibliography : 1. Accadia T, Acernese F, Alshourbagy M, et al. Virgo: a laser interferometer to detect gravitational waves. J. Instrum. 2012;7(03):P03012–P03012. doi:10.1088/1748-0221/7/03/P03012.

But I would like:
- inline citation : 1 in superscript arabic numbers
- bibliography : 1. Accadia T, Acernese F, Alshourbagy M, et al. Virgo: a laser interferometer to detect gravitational waves. Journal of Instrumentation 2012; 7: 3012–3012. doi:10.1088/1748-0221/7/03/P03012

The differences between this two styles :
The 7 should be in bold.
No P for pages
When I have several inline citations, I would like to have 1-3 for 1 to 3 and 1,3 for 1 AND 3.

Here you are the authors guidelines:
http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com.gate2.inist.fr/journal/10.1002/%28ISSN%291099-1557/homepage/ForAuthors.html

Here you are a link to a pdf (I hope it works well):

Thanks a lot !!!
Emilie
  • I wanted to say "The differences between THESE two styles :"
    Sorry...
  • (got it - won't be super quick - currently takes me btw. 1-3 months to get to a style request)
  • Ok, thanks adamsmith!
I will put right my bibliography one by one...
I am surprised that this style does not exist. This is not a infrequent revue, but any way!
If you need pdf from this revue and if the link does not work I can send one to you. Tell me!
  • I think that Advances in Complex Systems will be very close to what you need.

    Go to http://www.zotero.org/styles

Search on the journal title. Hover the cursor over the title and you will see a pop-up of how citations will appear in your manuscript.
  • Thank you. Indeed the bibliography seems to be very close, but what about the citation inline? I will try.
And there is brackets that I don't want, but this style could be easier to correct than the American Medical Association (AMA).
    Thanks a lot!
  • No I won't use this style. I don't know why but it has intermingled all my bibliography!! My first citation is now the number 19!
  • I haven't understood exactly how you want the "inline" citations to appear? Do you want a numbered style with superscripts? Vancouver superscript is another style close to what you want except for the bold volume numbers.

Have you refreshed the Zotero citations in your document? That may put the numbers in proper order.

advances in complex system sorts the bibliography alphabetically (which means citation numbers appear out of order). So it seems to work correctly, just not for emilie's purposes.

I used the search by example to find a similar style.

Alas, that utility and the ACS info page do not seem to indicate the reference sort order.

    Perhaps, SPIE journals?

  • Here you are a copy of authors guidelines, because the link above could not work:

    Reference Style

References should be indicated in the text by superscript Arabic numbers and listed at the end of the paper in the order in which they appear in the text. All references must be complete and accurate. Where possible the DOI for the reference should be included at the end of the reference. Online citations should include the date of access.

Use Index Medicus abbreviations for journal names. For correct abbreviations visit ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/pubmed/J_Medline.txt.

If necessary, cite unpublished or personal work in the text but do not include it in the reference list.

References should be listed in the following style:

FDA. Guidance for industry. Premarketing risk assessment. FDACDER/CBER, Rockville; March 2005. http://www.fda.gov/OHRMS/DOCKETS/98fr/04d-0187-gdl0002.pdf (accessed 1 January 2007).

I have used the "Search by Example" function to find that the American Medical Association (AMA) was the closest style.

    Thanks!

  • Hello,
I need to use the same style, Could you give me please the name of this style on the style repository.
    Thank you in advance,
    Aya
  • Thank you for your Help.
In the journal they said that References should be indicated in the text by superscript Arabic numbers like this [1] not like this 1; is there a way to change this option?
    Thank you in advance,
    Aya
