When I input a term which is actually a tag in the quick search field, all items with that tag are listed. When I remove the specific tag identical to the search term from the listed item, the search term and search results are just gone.
A more firendly reaction would be just remove the item previously owing the searched tag from the list. The remaining items identified according to the search term should be listed.

adamsmithimprovements for the quick search bar have long been planned (most likely some type of search history), but no one has come around to implementing them yet. But yeah, everyone agrees that you lose search terms too easily.
