Project Muse / can't save files

I'm trying to save several articles from Project Muse into my library. Whenever I do this, I get an error message that says "an error occurred while saving this item; check known translator issues" (there aren't any for Muse). I'm running Chrome, Mac OS 10.7.5, and Zotero standalone 4.0.8. JSTOR is still downloading articles just fine; I have the same issue with Muse, however, if I open Firefox and try to save that way (FF 21.0, Zotero is current; plugins are Evernote and Zotero only).

Any advice? Help!

most importantly the info requested in step 12
  • A link to the article I was trying to download: https://muse.jhu.edu/journals/book_history/v015/15.gavin.html

The text in my “Report Errors” box in Chrome: [JavaScript Error: "Cannot read property '1' of null" {file: "eval at <anonymous> (chrome-extension://jciblakmllnhbhjjgkbkeihelcndmgnh/inject/translate_inject.js:50:9), <anonymous>" line: 73}]

I clicked “Report Errors,” and this option is now greyed out, but I didn’t get a popup with a report ID number. I followed the instructions for debugging output and received this:

    The Debug ID is D541751888.

    I’m running:
    Chrome Version 27.0.1453.116
    Zotero Standalone 4.0.8
    Zotero Connector 3.0.8.1
    Mac 10.7.5

    To replicate this error:

    1) Log into library website and find desired article in Project Muse (I’m using material from the journal Book History—this problem occurred with several articles, but the one linked above will do).
    2) Try to save it by clicking the little article button in the address bar.

I’ve rebooted the browser and the computer, relogged into the library website, etc. The proper translator (Zotero (Project Muse)) shows in the address bar. I’m also getting the same error when I use Firefox and the Zotero plug-in.
  • A translator fix is now up. Your version of Zotero will automatically update within 24hs, or you can update manually using the "Update Now" button in the "General" tab of the Zotero preferences (using Chrome you'll also need to restart that).

Any further problems let us know & thanks for reporting
  • Wonderful. Thank you for your help!
