Problems installing Word-Plugin

Hey everyone,

i'm having trouble installing the word-adin for zotero, using zotero 4.0.8, firefox 21.0, and Word 2007 (de) on windows 7.

the reported error says "Installation could not be completed because an error occurred. Please ensure that Microsoft Word is closed, and then restart Firefox". The report ID is 1404766273.

Can anyone help me out of this?

    Try disabling the avast! Online Security extension in Firefox and see if that helps. If not, generate another report ID after re-triggering the error.

    Hey Simon,
    disablinng avast has not brought any effort. The reported errot still says the same. The new report ID is 658740702.

    It looks like the Word add-in is already installed, but Zotero is trying to update it and either your user account doesn't have permissions to modify it or other security software is interfering. Try the manual installation instructions.
