Depends on the Firefox version, but most likely (and according to http://u3.sandisk.com/download/Download_no.asp), that's Firefox 1.5, which cannot run Zotero.
Try this one: http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable
Note that we haven't tested Zotero under Portable Firefox and don't officially support it, but I believe other people are using it with success.
i have successfully downloaded the portable Firefox app. you suggested above, and I'll now try playing around with the Zotero and let you know how it goes. Thanks for responding so quickly1
To follow up on this stream, I have a U3 as well however it now allows the download of 2.0.0.4 and I was able to download Zotero 1.0.7 and have got my library transferred over to the u3 and it all works. So my question is would it be more efficient to use the mozzilla portable version, and the instructions listed on this page? I just want to be sure that I am doing this the most effective way.
I don't really see a reason that it would make a difference which way you go. The only thing I would note is that the 1.5 release of Zotero will require Firefox 3, and there is a strong chance that it will be quite some time before that release is available for your U3 device. If you do decide to use Zotero on portable Firefox, see the documentation on using Zotero with Firefox portable for more info on that approach.
