LibreOffice Integration Not Functioning Report ID: 1318637426

Hello!

-Win 7 x64
- LibreOffice 4.0.3.3
- Zotero 4.0.8
- Java 1.7.0

I'm having trouble with my libreoffice integration. It doesn't seem to be communicating with Zotero Standalone. The insert and edit buttons don't bring up any dialogue and the rest of the buttons bring up the dialogue asking me to insert a citation (even if there already is one). I've tried the instructions on this page http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting without success. Does anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!
Chris
  • Does anyone have a idea for a solution to this problem?
  • the first thing would be to make sure that the insert citation window doesn't show up somewhere in the background. If you don't have a connection to Standalone
    a) Zotero would complain about that and
    b) you wouldn't get the responses from the insert bib button

Have you cycled through all your windows? I'd also be curious to see if changing the plugin to classic view (in Zotero's "Cite" tab of the preferences) would make a difference.
  • I've tried cycling through my windows manually and with Alt-tab. It doesn't seem to be hiding.

I also tried restarting both programs after switching to the classic view. I still have the same problem where the button does not cause any dialogue to appear.
  • and you're not using ZoneAlarm?

Could you provide a Zotero debugID for clicking both the insert citation and the insert bibliography button (in a single debug):
    http://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output
  • Debug ID: D1096583001

I just generated this in a new document by clicking all of the buttons in sequence from L to R starting with the insert citation button. Some of the later ones ask me to insert a citation before using that feature.

I am not using zonealarm. I use avast.
  • Dan - is there anything useful there?
