Exporting library as a .ris file

Having problems creating a .ris file to import into another program (Nvivo). I click the reference I want to export, click .ris option in the pop-up dialogue box and a file downloads but it doesn't seem to be a .ris, or certainly the program I want to import it into (Nvivo) doesn't recognise is as a .ris and therefore can't find it.

Any help much appreciated.
