Hello everyone,

I really want to use zotero because it's free. I have just installed zotero for chrome. But I can't install word processor for zotero 4.0 for chrome. I just find setup file for word processor for firefox.

Could you help me with this problem?

Thanks a lot.
  • install Zotero standalone - as zotero.org/download says, the standalone version includes the Word plugin
  • Firstly, thanks a lot for your answer.

So I don't need to install word plugin, do I.

However, when I cite in word, a message like this appear
" word couldn't communicate with Zotero. Please ensure Firefox is running and try again".

And I don't know what is the problem.

Have you installed Zotero Standalone, and restarted Word after?
  • Yes, I've installed Zotero Standalone. Its icon also appeared in my desktop. I can collect data to build bibliography. But the problem happen when I cite.

Close Word and then try reinstalling the Word plugin from the Cite pane of the Zotero Standalone preferences.
  • I will try. Thanks a lot.
  • I've tried to reinstall google chrome and then zotero standalone 4.0.
But it doesn't work. I don't know why word 2007 can't communicate to zotero. The computer require me to ensure that firefox is running. However, I don't use firefox, I just use google chrome.

I don't know what is the problem.

    Could you help me?
