Any progress on getting doi metadata from JaLC or CNKI?

There are several journals published in China and Japan with DOIs that aren't found by Zotero or through dx.doi.org

For example, 10.3969/j.issn.1674-8484.2012.01.003 from the Journal of Automotive Safety and Energy and all other articles from that journal don't seem to be available. I can provide other examples if needed.

I recognize that this is likely to be other than a Zotero problem. I know that I raised that question about getting metadata from the CNKI website:

https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/27851/translator-for-cnki/

and there doesn't seem to be much that can be done. But I thought I'd raise the question about DOIs that don't connect.
  • I feel like the part where DOIs issued by CNKI do not propagate down to doi.org is a major fault in the CNKI system and IDF should be the one dealing with them to make sure this does not continue. I can't find the language on doi.org specifying this requirement though, so maybe I'm imaging reading it.

I'll take a look at that article though. it looks like it may be using a more or less standardized publishing system.
  • Looks like they're using the Journal X publishing system developed by Beijing Magtech. A large list of journals using this system can be found here: http://www.magtech.com.cn/CN/column/column12.shtml

Most of the journals appear to offer BibTeX and EndNote (they call it RIS, but from what I checked it's ENW/Refer/BibIX) formats. So it shouldn't be terribly hard to do this. Obviously it would be much less frustrating to do this properly for someone who understands the language. I won't be able to get to this for a while.
