Not recognizing my login ID and password so wont sync

Hi. I am using windows 8 and work on Chrome. I am trying sync my standalone with my library on-line so that I can begin to sync libraries. I have nothing in my stand alone library because it won't let me sync... it gets stuck for hours and then zotero rejects my ID and password.

I have uninstalled zotero standalone and re-installed it, I have changed my password and I have read the forum somewhat. I don't get an error message... maybe I would if I didn't close the program after a good long while? I have been trying to deal with this for a good while now and don't know why I am stumbling at this first phase. Any suggestions would be gratefully accepted. Many thanks!

    Presumably you are when it rejects your username and password, though?

    Can you provide a Debug ID for the first few minutes of a sync attempt?

    Is this what you need. somehow the passwords etc are not linking???

    Have you tried completely clearing the username and password from the Sync pane of the Zotero preferences and reentering them?
