Upgrade StorageHelp with Initiating ZotFile on Firefox with Zotero

Prior to starting this discussion, I tried a search and could not locate any answers. I have read up on Zotfile and would like to use it for extracting annotations. I open up PDFs in Zotero with preview, make annotations, and save. hOwever, I can't figure out how to initiate the file containing extractions from the PDF. I thought it was automatic based on my reading, but I am most likely mistaken. Can someone please provide some detailed information on how to do so, or is there a tutorial video I have been unable to find? I appreciate any help! Thanks!

In the (Zotero) middle pane, right-click on the pdf. Then "Manage Attachments" -> "Extract Annotations".
