Cannot get PDF to save locally
I'm having trouble creating a pdf attachment. As I understand it when I display a pdf file and then click on the icon to download citation information, a local copy of the pdf file should be attached. I have the preference checked to automatically attach associate the pdf file. The site I'm using is the IEEE digital library. (ieeexplore.ieee.org). Any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks!

thanks for the response!
So, if you click the link above, and then click on the article icon in the location bar you get the metadata for the item, and the item icon but you are not getting the PDF?
Here are a few things we can try.
1. Is there a small triangle next to the items name? If yes click that triangle, that should show you the items attachments.
2. If that is not the case can you check to make sure the "Automatically Attach Associated PDF's and Files" preference is set in your preferences pane.
3. If that does not do it could you click the "update now" button in the general pane of your preferences window and then try getting the above linked item through the icon in the location bar.
I see no triangle icon
I already have the Automatically attach preferences box checked, but did deselect it, then reselected it and updated. Still no attachment.
A couple of comments, my subscription to IEEE is a corporate subscription, but I can get the pdf versions through the browser without any trouble.
When I do try to get the document, the mouse changes to a arrow with a hourglass and never changes back. Perhaps that is an indication it is trying to get the pdf, but something is hanging.
thanks again!
