chicago style endnotes not correct

Hello. As far as I can tell, this option is not working correctly. It doesn't use parantheses around place of publication, publisher, and year, as it should. Am I missing something? I"m using citation, then Chicago full note bibliography.
Thanks.
  • In line with the Manual, Zotero prints
Margaret E Keck and Kathrin Sikkink, Activists Beyond Borders: Advocacy Networks in International Politics (Ithaca, NY: Cornell University Press, 1998).
for notes (endnotes ore footnotes) and

Keck, Margaret E, and Kathrin Sikkink. Activists Beyond Borders: Advocacy Networks in International Politics. Ithaca, NY: Cornell University Press, 1998.

    In the Bibliography.

If that's not what you're getting, you're likely doing something wrong, yes, but we'd need more about how you're inserting citations to tell you what.
  • I"m using Chicago endnotes. When I go to my library, click on my item, and then click "cite," here's what I get:
Paletz, David L. The Media in American Politics: Contents and Consequences. Reading, MA: Addison-Wesley, 2002.
That's correct except that the publisher, place, year should be in parentheses.
  • Oh, you mean online at zotero.org?
Currently you can only get the bibliography format online, not the format for notes (note that the author is also in the wrong format for an Endnote in your example).

Use your Zotero client locally - i.e. either open Zotero Standalone or the Firefox add-on depending on what you have installed. See the various options here: www.zotero.org/support/creating_bibliographies
  • Ah okay. Yes, I'm not at my home computer and am using zotero.org.
I'll check at home when I get back. Thanks.
