LibreOffice Plugin: No page numbers in bibliography

Hi,
I want page numbers to appear in the biography. For the page numbers i use the LibreOffice-Plugin. If I'm going to insert a citation, I use the old design. Then I fill in a page number in the page field. The problem is that the page number doesn't show up in the biography. What am I doing wrong? I have already tried different styles. I use Zotero 4.0.4 (standalone) on Mac with LibreOffice 3.6.5.2 and the Zotero Plugin 3.5.6.

Thank you
Michael

What kind of "page numbers" are you referring to, exactly?

In Zotero, page information exists in various types, e.g. the total number of pages of an entire work (this book has 125 pages), and the pages that point to the cited subpart of a larger work (this article appears on pages 10-15 of the journal; this chapter appears on pages 55-59 of the book). These two types of information are usually included in the bibliographic entries.

A third type is page locator information. This is when you cite a specific section of e.g. a book or journal-article that supports your argument, e.g. "as shown by Doe (2002, p. 23), ...". Since you need the context of the text to understand these very specific locators, they are (almost) never included in the bibliography. Another reason for not including locator information in the bibliography is that these locators aren't very useful in helping you to locate the work in question.
  • Thanks, i meant the page locator information. Ok, i will try to use a style which uses in-text-citations with page numbers instead. Thank you.
