Upgrade StorageRetrieve Metadata for PDF Broken - report ID: 660357467
Hi,
This has worked well for me before but recently had to reinstall my OS (Linux Mint 14 KDE) after a hard drive issue. Since then retrieve metadata has not worked at all.
If it was just one or two pdfs that would be one thing - but it is all of them, and moreover Zotero normally spends a few seconds trying to retrieve metadata - currently it comes up instantly with a 'cannot retrieve metadata - could not read text from pdf
Any ideas?

dstillmanDelete the pdfinfo/pdftotext files from the root of the Zotero data directory, restart Firefox, and reinstall the PDF tools from the Search pane of the Zotero preferences.
