Upgrade StorageUnable to reterieve metadata from pdf
Dear Friends,
I am using Zotero for last two years and recently I have updated my OS from Linux Mint-12 to Mint-14 Gnome. After this, I am not able to reterieve metadata from any pdf. I have tried to reinstall the zotero but did not help. I have updated zotero from preferance/General and as well as Preferance/search path. I don't know, what is the probelem. Then I followed some of the previous discussions thread in which they have suggested to run debug and I got the following output and as well as I have submitted the output to zotero server which provide following ID also.

I have updated the version from 3.0.2 to 4.0.3 but it did not help. One more thing, the pdfotext and pdfinfo are 3.02 version only. I don't whether this problem is related to these indexing tools or not.

This will only work with PDFs that contain OCRd text.
(also, though probably unrelated, something seems odd with your translator directory - are you working on coding translators somehow?

Like these pdfs, all others are also available online and I am able to directly save pdf from the url but when I am trying to get the metadata from the pdf directly. It always shows "cannot read text from pdf". I am not using any scanned pdf so all are ocrd pdf only as they are available online.
I dint understand about translator. But do you think it can be related to this problem and what should i do with my translator folder.
I m stucked and i m really not able to understand the actual problem.

When you download the items using the URL bar icon and then select the PDF in Zotero - do they show up as "indexed" in the right hand panel?
You could try moving the files pdftotext... and pdfinfo... (there are probably out of your zotero data directory http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data (with Zotero closed), then restart Zotero and re-install them from the search tab of the Zotero preferences.
Its working now flawlessely.
