Bibliography cut off (displays incomplete list)

The Zotero-generated bibliography (reference list) in my document displays only up to a certain point, where it cuts off, right in the middle of a reference. If I add new references with names early in the alphabet, the bibliography refreshes to include them, but late-alphabet names are not displayed. For one of my documents, it stops displaying in the middle of the F's. In another, it stops in the middle of the S's.

Refreshing does not affect the situation, changing to a different reference style does not change the problem, and I have tried creating entirely new MS word files, but the problem persists. Any suggestions?

try if you can send an error report right after triggering the error:
    http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs
  • I am using the standalone application, and not necessarily connected to the web. This is a problem within the document, but is not unique to a single document.
  • Hej, i have got the same problem... my bibliography cuts off at the Letter D.... did you find a way to fix this? is there anyone able to help? i have a real time problem if this doesnt work out.... :-(
  • I solved it... it was just that one file where it cut off, i changed it a little and then it ran through :-)
  • Hi! having the same issue now.. What you did exactly to fix it?

    Hi there,

I'm having the same issue. The final reference in my bibliography cuts off half way through. I've tried refreshing, but still no joy.

Any suggestions on how it could be resolved?

Using Zotero standalone with Office for Mac 2011.

    I'd run through these:
    http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#debugging_broken_documents
at times this has been caused by hidden illegal characters in a reference, so you could try looking for items with accented or special characters and retype those.
  • adamsmith, you're a hero!

That's resolved my issue immediately, thank you so much! I just retyped the ref as you suggested.

(My PhD is due on Friday, and I was panicking that I'd have to do some bizarre work around...)

    Thanks again.
