Error starting Zotero in new Firefox version 20.0

I have used Zotero and Zot2Bib for years with no problems at all. Firefox just updated itself this morning to 20.0 (on Mac 10.8.2), and now Zotero no longer works. I can see the extension, and it's also listed in the tools list, but it's not in the lower margin of the browser, or in the address bar. Starting it from the Tools menu yields a "Error starting Zotero" message. I have restarted my computer, removed all files whose names include "zotero" (everything I care about is in BibDesk, so I wasn't nervous about doing that), deinstalled Zotero, reinstalled Zotero, followed all instructions for no status bar icon here:

I followed all the instructions for reporting errors, and here is the output from the error bar console. Can anyone help?
