Attachments strangely multiply

Hi there,

some of the PDF attachments entries in my database seem to have strangely multiplied. They point to the same file, though. This is not horrible, but somewhat annoying.

a) What caused this?
b) How can I fix it?

Also, the "check database" option says there are errors. (but doesn't offer to fix them)

I'd be grateful for any hints--I depend on Zotero for my research! (Thanks for a great piece of work, too.)

    Use the DB Repair Tool, and then upgrade to Firefox 3, which fixes database instability problems in Firefox 2.

    Hmm, my db is no longer reported as having errors, but I still have multiple copies of several PDFs.

    What do you mean by "point to the same file"? Are these linked files or imported snapshots?

    If they're just linked (not imported) files or snapshots that point to different copies of the same file (e.g., you end up in different directories if you click Show File), delete the redundant attachments, upgrade to Firefox 3, and let us know if it happens again.

    I have the same problem,
    usign firefox 3 on an Ubuntu desktop, all my PDF and attahcments are multiplied by three.

    Most like the problem reported here and already fixed on our end. Zotero 1.0.7, due shortly, will include the fix.
