Having 2 zotero accounts

I have a personal Zotero account and have just created a separate account with a work email in order to access my office group's library. When I'm logged into my work account and add a reference to the library it adds it to my personal account. I've tried following instructions to Sync my work account but will that cause my personal library to be lost? Please advise. Many thanks.
  • You will make your life a lot easier by having just one account. If you have data in your personal account, I suggests that you get this account added to the work group library and then delete the work account. Or you can use your personal account first and synchronise Zotero, then change the username to your work username and do a "reset to server" in zotero preferences. This will copy your personal library to your work account and you can delete the personal library.

    Also, just to be sure: You known that the account which you use to login to Zotero website is not necessarily the account that is configured in Zotero preferences?
