2 snapshots, 1 drags & drops to another collection, other doesn't

I've taken two snapshots (2 recipes) and one drags and drops to another collection but the other one doesn't. I just get the universal "no" symbol. What gives?

    Generally you should only get the no symbol when the item is already also in that collection. Are you sure you do not already have a copy of the item in the second collection?

    I just did a quick check, and it seems you can only drag attachments that are stand alone into a collection. If it is associated with a parent item, you get the "no" symbol when you try to drag just the attachment. You need to drag the entire item.

    And, as TJ said, if it already exists in the collection, you get the "no" symbol either way.

    Tjowens: I am sure there is not already a copy of the item in the subcollection. It is in the parent collection, however. i.e. It is in the "Recipies" collection and I'm trying to drag it into the subcollection "cookies." I was successful with one of the snapshots, but not the other, which I think is strange.

    arggem: This is a snapshot I just took and don't have it associated with anything except it is already in the "Recipies" collection. But it doesn't matter where I want to drag this, I get the "no" symbol. I can't drag it to any collection.

    Can you zip up your database and send it to me, or to support@zot....org

    Locate your Zotero database.

    Copy the Zotero.sqlite file.

    Then zip up the copy.

    Then send it as an attachment to trevor@zot...org or support@zot...org
