Downloading Books from Springer Link

Hi,

when I view a book in Springer Link and click the "In Zotero speichern..." (save to Zotero) button, zotero creates a seperate entry for every chapter: http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/7175/zoterospringer.png

Is it possible to create one entry for the book and save the PDF files for each chapter in this entry?

Thanks,

Simon
  • While it is possible to customize your translator to do what you want, I don't think we will do this on the official translator. the current behavior is consistent with other websites and it is more helpful when it comes to citing and annotating each chapter. There are plans to allow chapter entries to be grouped or stored under a book entry, but this feature is not currently of high priority, so it won't happen soon (I think)
  • Only very recently, SpringerLink has added a "Download Book" link that downloads the entire book as a single watermarked PDF. (See, e.g., http://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-1-4419-7922-3/page/1). It would be great if the official importer supported adding a single entry for the book that attaches the "complete book" PDF, in addition to adding the individual items.

Also, the "Front Matter" and "Back Matter" chapters are not captured anymore by the SpringerLink translator.
