Journal of Pain style

Dear all,

I desperately looked for the 'Journal of Pain' style
(http://www.jpain.org/authorinfo)which I could not find in the repository. Nothing I checked came close to it.

It would be great if somebody could help!!!

And yes: it is so annoying that there is not one uniform style for all journals...

  • you should be able to find something quite close using
    http://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByExample/
we can help you from there.
  • thanks, J Neurophysiol comes closest:

Accadia T, Acernese F, Alshourbagy M, Amico P, Antonucci F, et al. Virgo: a laser interferometer to detect gravitational waves. J. Instrum. 7: P03012–P03012, 2012.

However, the differences are: just plain text (no italic or bold characters), no full stop at the end, ':' between the last author and the title and finally no 'et al.' but all authors listed.
Would be great I you could help.
  • and the most important thing: the intext citation should be in superscript numbers that correspond to the alphabetized reference list
  • that's not bad - It'll take a bit of time, but I'll get to that eventually.
  • Dear Adam,

I am having the same problem. Thanks for the pointer to J Neurophysiol. Will try to work on it. Did you make any progress?

  • Hi,

I reworked the Vancouver style to get the correct output. Just submitted.

I send the file to the editoral staff of Journal of Pain and commited it to the repository, don't know how long it takes till it is on the site. Let me know if you need it urgently.
