Export to Endnote

I am new to Zotero (I started using it today). I have been using endnote for my references, but I want to use zotero for stuff I get from the internet (like CDC website for example). How can I export just one reference from zotero to endnote? Thanks. I tried to export the RIS and then import it from Endnote, but I still don't see the reference on my Endnote library.
  • I think it's partly a question for the Endnote forum but according to: http://research.library.gsu.edu/content.php?pid=24410&sid=175897
    Zotero to EndNote

To save your Zotero library for importing into EndNote, click the Zotero button that looks like a gear and choose "Export Library." Choose RIS as the file type and pick a filename.

In EndNote, click "File" and then "Import." Click the "Choose File" button and select the file you just exported from Zotero. Set Import Option to "Reference Manager (RIS)" and click Import.
  • There is a much more simple way to export individual or a several records without sending your entire Zotero library.

Select the record(s) in the middle pane, right click, from the menu select export selected item(s), and select the format (in your case, RIS).
  • dwl-sdca ;-) indeed, thanks. I was focused on the import to Endnote issue and I read too quickly the first paragraph (export from Z).
