Your account is now locked/ your current subscription will not be automatically renewed

Hi, I am a bit worried about the message in zotero: "One year subscription. Your current subscription will not be automaticaly renewed". The email I received is even more scary: "Your Collaborative Storage for Zotero subscription has expired (...)Your account is now locked."
Does it mean that if I don't renew, in 30 days I will lose my account? I have managed to keep my account below 300mb and I dont need to upgrade at this stage. Maybe this info should be clearer, although I guess it makes some users upgrade.
  • no, that's maybe not worded well - you'd just lose anything above the 300MB, not your account.
  • Is this really what happens? How does Zotero determine what to delete? I was sort of worried about a similar thing happening with DropBox (i.e. do my files get deleted if my storage capacity goes down?), but it turns out that your files remain, you just can't add any more files until you free up space. I hope if this is not the case Zotero goes in that direction.

I guess one issue would be with abandoned accounts that had large amounts of files. Not sure what a reasonable approach would be to that.
