mla style
I'm a new user so this might be a dumb question.
I have some writing. I might need it in MLA style. I might need it in Chicago style.
I have a lot of moments where I go like this:
The first literary book in the Caribbean creole might be Claude McKay’s two 1912 collections, Songs of Jamaica and Constab Ballads.
So I do not quote from books but I reference them.
In MLA style, as I understand it, I would just include these two books in the work cited.
In Chicago, I would footnote the books with the bibliographic reference.
I've been working with MLA style. But I need to cite the bibliography to Constab Ballads so the reference is there when I move over to Chicago style.
So I then went to Chicago style and added the reference. But when I go back to MLA style it now looks like this:
The first literary book in the Caribbean creole might be Claude McKay’s two 1912 collections, Songs of Jamaica (McKay) and...
Which I don't want.
What is easiest way here?
