Hi, I've just begun using Zotero, and it has been working brilliantly, including syncing files on the server. I've just had a problem where the sync has been hanging on "Getting updated data from the sync server" for a few hours now. The debug generally repeats the "Associated libraries are locked" message. Before I looked on the forum, I think I tried a server side data reset (sorry!) and I see now that will likely extend the time as well. The file collection is on the order of 120 MB.

Just wondering if this sounds like it will solve itself, or if it needs to be looked at. I unfortunately cannot leave this system on overnight, so I will have to shut down and restart in the queue tomorrow.

    Have you tried restarting Firefox/Zotero?

    Restarting won't fix this, actually.

    But I put a potential fix in place. bjsmith, try again now.

    That fixed it, Dan Stillman. By my clock, it was a successful sync within minutes of when you commented. Thanks a bunch for your help.

    (And for the sake of record keeping, I did try restarting Zotero before my initial post. It did not solve the problem when I tried it.)
