Converting from endnote to zotero references within document

Hi,

My endnote system in my PhD has stopped working, and there's nothing I can do to fix it. I used zotero for my final two chapters but now have to convert all the endnote refs in earlier chapters to zotero refs. Is there any fast way of doing this, or will I have to do each footnote individually?

Any tips would be fantastic, and maybe save me hours of boring and fiddly work!

thanks.
  • Unfortunately there is no way to automate this. You need to change each one manually.

    what mronkko says, unfortunately.
Only tip I have is to acquaint yourself (if you aren't already) with the keyboard shortcuts for the Zotero Word plugin to speed up your workflow:

  • I sometimes work with people that use Endnote, so in the end of the writing process with a a document where there are both Zotero and Endnote citations. Changing the Endnote citations to Zotero citations does not actually take that very long once you know the keyboard shortcuts. Changing the other way is a bit slower, but doable as well.
  • Great, thanks for your help adamsmith and mronkko. Much appreciated!
