Error 2016927186

'Extra' field value 'Access: http://catdir.loc.gov/catdir/bios/ucal051/...' too long

In the middle of a research project, and this sync error keeps popping up so my work I've done today does not sync with the cloud so my colleagues cannot access the recent work.

I've never had this error before when working in WorldCat database.

Also... the date on Zotero's site is set for October... what's up with that?

    Find that Extra field ("Access: http://catdir.loc.gov/catdir/bios/ucal051/...") and delete/shorten it.

    Dan, when I look on Zotero.org library for my group, the date for the "updated on" column is October 1, 2013. It's just a little weird living in the future :)

    Run an advanced search with these parameters:
    "Extra" "contains" "Access: http://catdir.loc.gov/catdir/bios/ucal051/"

    Or just type the beginning of the quoted bit above into the Zotero search bar, set to All Fields & Tags.

    Well that didn't do it. I even cleared all the temporary Java cache to no avail.

    Then I realized I did not have the full error message which is:

    [JavaScript Error: "[Exception... "''Extra' field value 'Access: http://catdir.loc.gov/catdir/bios/ucal051/...' too long' when calling method: [nsIDOMEventListener::handleEvent]" nsresult: "0x8057001e (NS_ERROR_XPC_JS_THREW_STRING)" location: "" data: no]"]

    So I don't know which of the above errors is keeping me from syncing to Zotero.

    It's still the exact same problem—none of those other messages are related to Zotero. You need to find the item in question and either shorten that field or delete the item and empty your trash. The item could be in any of your libraries (or more than one).
