Missing Toolbar

Even after re-installing Zotero Word for Mac Integration 3.5.6 multiple times (after closing Word first), my toolbar is still missing and I can't put in my citations. I'm using Firefox. I've crowd sourced some folks and they don't seem to be having this problem. I've restarted the computer, I'm using of OS X 10.7.5 , and the latest FF and Zotero versions. I'm using Word 2011.
  • Adam, yes, it is in the apple scripts menu ( I saw it after writing my post), but the floating toolbar is gone. Any tips?
  • not really - I've heard of that happening before, but I don't have a Mac and I don't think anyone with a Mac has been able to replicate that.
FWIW, the menu comes with useful shortcuts, so it's not like you really need the toolbar, but obviously it'd be nice to know why it disappears for some people.
  • I now encountered this problem as well. I uninstalled the Zotero plugin from Firefox, removed the toolbar and Zotero.dot in Word, reinstalled both and still the toolbar did not reappear. The Zotero commands do show up in the Scripts menu in Word and as adamsmith says, I can use keyboard shortcuts. I guess I need to change my habits to learn the keyboard shortcuts because it doesn't appear that there is a fix, though it does make Zotero less intuitive than having the toolbar there (especially for infrequently used commands like "Make Bibliography" that I use once per document or "Refresh").
  • m_bader: What version of Word? Does Zotero.dot appear in the Tools -> Templates and Add-ins window?
