Mysterious tags
Is there a way to track admin activity?
In other words: can I see a report of who has done what to our group library?
We have a limited number of admins and yet strange tags have shown up that no one of us would have assigned.

Do you know of any way tags could have appeared in our library? One of our admins suggested that it may have something to do with WorldCat (from which we originally got some of our entries). If the original WorldCat entry was updated with a tag, could that update affect our library?
We've got it under control. Thanks for your help!
These terms should not even automatically be generated by my texts as they are on the wrong subject. It is as if a medical text has cross generated through my tags. If i click on the rogue tag 'no items found' therefore the source is invisible. Can anyone help?
We think our mystery tags were coming in from articles we added from ProQuest. We think this because we followed back one of the articles that had the mystery tags and found it had Subject lines, etc. that corresponded to the mystery tags.
We didn't find any way other than manually squashing the mystery tags -- i.e. we've gone into our library and have deleted the tags we don't want -- and now that we're "clear" we're going to be on the look-out for mystery tags to re-occur and then we'll try to see what we could have done differently to keep them from occurring.
I don't know if this is at all helpful, but I thought I'd share our experience just in case it is.
Many, many thanks!

The "Manually Adding Tags" section discusses how to delete tags. The "Automatic Tags" section discusses how to de-select automatic tagging.
Those sections helped us. If they don't help your glitch, then you've gone well above my head and I'll bow out and let the developers help.
Good luck and happy new year!
I've had good experiences with the Zotero community. I'm sure you'll get the help you need.
Ever onward!
