Empty sub-collections

I have been using Zotero for several months in Vista, now I find that some of my sub-collections are empty. I can identify some the files in My Library and they are indexed but do not appear in the collection folders. I tried the database fix upload with no luck. I also tried exporting and importing with no luck.

P.S. When I exported/imported, all the third level and below sub-collections were empty.

Is there a utility to rebuild the database from the file collection? Seems like others have asked for this also but I could not find an answer.

    Just wanted to say that I'm running into that problem too. My laptop runs Vista, and I've been creating my library using Firefox v.3.0rc1 and zotero v1.0.4 (thanks for getting that newer plug-in done before the official FF release, guys!), but I just tried to import my library from my laptop to my desktop running XP, and I'm getting ZILCH in my subcollections -- all of the bibliographies are listed in the overall "Imported Wednesday, June ....." folder, but haven't been organized in the subcollections two levels down.

    Is this just a bug that needs to be fixed, or am I doing something incorrect in my export from Vista? Thanks in advance.

    I have been having the same problem, transferring from a PC to a Mac, attempting to import an entire library and then deleting individual subcollections (to speed up processing time). It seems that the "Imported Fri Jun 20...etc" folder has all the files from the subcollections, but all the subcollection folders are empty. I tried to go back and just export the collections individually, but when exporting from the original machine, any Collection folder that doesn't have files directly under its branch (even if the files are in subcollections under it) you can't seem to export as a single collection. Look forward to your help.

    Same problem importing the collection. I tried with all the exporting format.
    It appears also exporting and importing in the same computer...
    It is a really annoying problem: it is impossible have a useful back up of the collection and so the risk is to lose the database!

    I am having this problem also.
    My subcollections are empty, but other stuff seems ok when I import. This is a BIG PROBLEM.

    We have pushed out some fixes for working with Zotero's RDF. Can you try re-exporting and importing the problem collection.
