word plugin error message

I can't get my word plugin to work. Every time I use the word plugin, I get the following error message: "This version of the Zotero Word plugin is incompatible with currently installed version of the Zotero Firefox extension (1.0.6.) Please ensure you are using the latest version of both components." I've downloaded all the latest Zotero upgrades, but have consistently had this problem for months. Could this be a word problem? Or is it really a firefox issue? Thanks!

    The message means what it says. You're not using the latest version of the Word plugin. Install the latest version.

    If that doesn't work, remove the old version first (using the manual Windows instructions to find the .dot file if this is Windows), ensure that the toolbar is gone from Word, and then reinstall.
