Upgrade StorageCannot update (Zotero standalone 3.0b1)
I receive the following error when starting Zotero:
"The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Zotero running on your computer, and then restart Zotero to try again."
There are no other instances of Zotero running in background. I am also not able to update when selecting this option from the 'Help' menu.
Any suggestions? I have backed up library online, and have also backed up sql file - okay to just uninstall, then reinstall updated version?

Short version is that you might not have write permissions to update, and dealing with that could solve your problem. It did for me!
