Upgrade Storageproblem with snapshot feature on some sites: sinlge-pixel "GIF89" file
With some web sites (e.g. heise.de) creating an entry in zotero produces a snapshot which is GIF file rather than the html page. Apparently this can be due to tracking systems on the site.
This is extremely unfortunate as these entries are not really archived and they are not searchable.
Also for every new site to be used as a source one has to check if the snapshot works or not. And there is the danger of an existing site starting to use such a tracker.
This issue has been reported in the forum several times and there are two tickets:
