Are attachments stored in the same folder across different computers?
This is a sister thread to another thread I started yesterday. (http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/26190/would-there-be-a-problem-with-storing-pdfs-on-dropboxgoogle-drive-and-linking/)
Are attachments stored in the same folder across different computers? If so, I can bypass Zotero's file (attachment) sync and solely rely on Google Drive's sync to sync all my attachments across different computers after creating a symlink.
Otherwise, two different servers will try to modify the same file when I log onto a second computer - both the zotero server and Google Drive server. Although simply having the storage folder on a synced folder service (like Dropbox or Google Drive) is said to be safe from data corruption, conceptually there still can be conflict when two servers try to modify the same PDF file in the second computer - hence my reason to limit attachment syncing to just one server.

Since the whole purpose of symlinking Zotero stroage and Google Drive is to be able to access PDF files through Google's interface, I don't think I need to have all of my computers have their zotero storage on Google Drive. Just one will suffice.
Most importantly, it looks like Google Drive can't sync non-typical files very well (e.g., tmp files or css files). This is not the first time this is happening with Google Drive, and that why I use Dropbox to store my own working drafts. So after all, even my modest goal of preserving a virtual (or actual) copy of the Zotero storage on Google Drive may not be feasible.
