What's the most appropriate item type for court briefs and legislative reports?

What's the most appropriate item type for court briefs (e.g., petition for cert, amici curiae, etc.) and legislative materials (e.g., (sub)committee reports, testimonies, etc.), respectively, that will make the end-result most compliant with Bluebook?
  • For that level of precision with legal references, you should probably look to Multilingual Zotero and the MLZ styles. http://citationstyles.org/.

Those particular items (court submissions, reports, and committee hearings) are not yet fully implemented in the American Law Style, but it will be extended in that direction in due course.
  • So many reasons point to MLZ's direction. I think I'll have to take it up sooner or later.
    Thanks.
