Zotero icons don't show up in MS Word2010 Toolbar on Win7
I have installed the latest versions of Firefox, Zotero, and the Microsoft Word plugin on my Win7 32bit system running MS Office2010 Pro.
Firefox Extensions confirms that the Zotero MSWord plug-in is installed.
I confirmed that the zotero.dot file does reside in the MS Word Startup file - I confirmed the location of the Startup file by accessing it within Word's "advanced" functions.
I started both Firefox and then MS Word.
I also tried opening one of my Word files from within Zotero, where I have several Word files in one of my Zotero Libraries.
My Word toolbar does not show any of the icons referred to in the Zotero documentation for using the Word plugin. I checked every tab of the toolbar -- there's nothing Zotero-related.
In the Word functions for "Customize Ribbon" and "Quick Access Toolbar", no Zotero-related commands/icons are shown in either the selectable pane nor the already-selected-items panes.
Also, nothing related to Zotero shows up in the MS Word Options/"Add-ins" window.
Kind of mystifying!!

Simply no Zotero toolbar anywhere.
File > Options > Customize Ribbon (right column)
make sure the "Add Ins" box is checked.
Then go to the ribbon and activate the Add Ins tab.
You'll find it there in a section "Custom Toolbars".
I could add the whole thing to the quick access toolbar, but I couldn't get only one or two buttons there, AND I could not integrate it into the references tab, although someone on this thread:
forums.zotero.org/discussion/12171/integration-with-word-20072010-ribbon/
made some code that would do it (you have to import his/her customization)
http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#toolbar_does_not_appear_in_word_for_windows_or_is_incompatible
preferably including a screenshot, that'd be great.
Documentation is a wiki:

I don't know what that extension is.Back when I first installed Zotero, I remember installing something that was supposed to make it communicate with Word, but I don't recall how I did that. It's probably in the documentation, but I don't have time to track it down just now. Will try again when time permits...
I started Word (I'm running Word 2010) and restarted Zotero... and in Word, when I click any one of the Zotero custom toolbar buttons, Zotero complains that it could not load the required component, etc.
