Style Error: Chicago Manual of Style (author-date)

When citing a book section, with the book author listed after the book title, there is a comma missing in the bibliography entry:

Hamburger, Michael. 1995a. “Preface.” In Poems of Paul Celan,by Paul Celan, trans. Michael Hamburger, 17. New York: Persea Books.

The comma is missing in "Celan,by"

I wish I knew how to fix this, but my CSL skills are not so good.
  • The comma is there. Do you mean it is missing a space after the comma?
  • Yes, sorry. What's missing is the space between the comma and "by."
  • Fixed. Reinstall from:
    http://www.zotero.org/styles/chicago-author-date?install=1
To update an existing document you may have to switch to a different style and back.
  • Strange thing. Add a magazine article or newspaper article to the repository in Firefox. Specify a URL. Specify a page number. Now create the bibliography in Word. Result: the URL is not in the bibliography. Now remove the page number from the Firefox repository. Recreate the bibliography in Word. Result: the URL is there.
  • That's by design. Zotero represses URLs for items that have page numbers (because in all but very few cases these are just online images of print articles and citation styles don't require URLs for those).
You can toggle that setting in the Cite tab of the Zotero preferences.
  • Thanx, "it's not a bug, it's a feature". I wanted to refer to pages in the print edition of the magazine, but one can not have everything. I can live with the design decision.
  • @eurojojo: you can toggle the behavior in the Zotero Preferences. See the description of the "Include URLs of paper articles in references" checkbox at http://www.zotero.org/support/preferences/cite .
  • Indeed @Rintze! Found it. Its under the second tab, thanx! It's not a bug at all!
