Create a Zotero archive

Now that I've finished my PhD, I'd like to take my Zotero library, neaten it up a bit, and have it as a record of the sources I consulted during my thesis research. I'd like to post a link to the collection online on my thesis website, so that other people can browse it. This Zotero collection should just be an archive of my PhD research.

The snag is that I'd like to continue using my Zotero collection - adding to what was there before, but not having this public, and not altering the archive of my thesis research online.

Would I need to change my account details and register again for an entirely new account and library? And could I duplicate my existing archive, possibly by exporting it and importing it into a new account, so that I could keep adding on to it while leaving a copy?

Or is there another way of doing this?
  • You can make a new public group and upload your references there. This makes a copy of the library and you keep your My Library private.

Note that this option does not allow you to share the PDF files publicly, but most likely you cannot do it legally in any case.
  • Thanks mronkko! That makes sense. I've created a new group, private for now.. just need to see how to copy my existing library there.
