Zotero Plugin unable to save a large amount of websites

The Zotero plugins for Safari and Chrome are unable to save a significant amount of websites. For example http://www.dullesmetro.com/about/timeline.cfm.html and http://forums.zotero.org/post/category/1/.
  • when you say "is unable to" - what do you mean? Do you get an error?
    If so --> http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs

    or do you mean that you don't get a URL bar icon?
    In that case that's on purpose. Right-click (ctrl+click) anywhere in the page and select "Save Snapshot to Zotero"
  • I wish I was able to post a screenshot. In Chrome and Safari the URL bar icon is greyed out. Why would that be on purpose? I am able to right/control click and select "Save Snapshot to Zotero."

    No need for a screenshot.*
    As I say this is on purpose.
    The URL bar icon only comes up (Chrome)/is clickable (Safari) when Zotero has a dedicated translator that will import full citation data for a page. Zotero purposefully keeps that scenario clearly separated from just importing any webpage which will download only the most barebones citation data (i.e. title, URL, and accessed date) into Zotero.

    *if you need to in the future, you can just put the snapshot on a free image hosting site (e.g. the one suggested by Gracile above) and provide a link to it.
