standalone connector on mac

Hi,
I try to use Zotero on a mac.
I don't have firefox, so I installed Zotero standalone which actually working (I can import references).
I installed to Zotero standalone connectors but it doesn't work. I can't use the references in word 2011.
When I try to set up the preferences (as in zotero firefox) in cite, when I click on "install word add in I have a error message as that one "nstallation could not be completed because an error occurred.

and then I add that number error report 1391641495

    I don't know enough about Mac to provide specific instructions, but the problem is that you don't have write permission for the Word Start-up folder, where Zotero installs the Word plugin.

    The last point here applies:

    You're running Zotero off the disk image. You need to copy it to your hard drive by dragging it to the folder labeled "Drag Here to Install."
